At Community Dietitian Co, we believe better health begins with simple, achievable nutrition. Our mission is to empower individuals and families living with, or at risk of, chronic health conditions through practical and clinically informed nutrition guidance that enhances wellbeing at every stage of life.
As Accredited Practising Dietitians, we specialise in the prevention and management of chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and obesity. We also provide personalised support for women’s health, including perimenopause, menopause, and family nutrition to help households thrive with confidence and clarity.
To make expert care more accessible, we offer home visits across the community as well as Telehealth consultations, including after-hours and Saturday appointments. Our services are flexible, practical, and tailored to fit real lives, supporting clients with expert nutrition advice that works for their lifestyle.
We work collaboratively with GPs, specialists, allied health providers, and are proud to support clients through the NDIS (self- and plan-managed) and DVA.
Our person-centred approach ensures your nutrition care is always coordinated, compassionate, and focused on what matters most to you.
Hi, I’m Adele, an Accredited Practising Dietitian, mum of two adult children, and founder of Community Dietitian Co. I help individuals and families take control of their health through practical, compassionate nutrition support, especially for those living with or at risk of chronic disease.
My journey into nutrition began when my son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) at age 5. Like many children on the spectrum, he developed strong sensory and textural sensitivities that made eating a daily challenge. Navigating his food aversions and learning how to support his nutritional needs sparked a deep interest in the power of food and ultimately led me to become a Dietitian.
Before entering the health field, I served in the Australian Army from 1994 to 2009, including deployments to East Timor and Iraq. That experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of service which are qualities I now bring to every client interaction. After leaving the military, I built a career in operations management, media, and public relations which strengthened my communication and leadership skills before I turned my focus fully to health and nutrition.
I began by studying an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine, which laid the foundation for my continued studies in a Bachelor of Dietetics. Today, as an Accredited Practising Dietitian, I combine evidence-based care with real-life empathy to support clients on their health journey. If you're looking for practical, supportive nutrition care that fits real life then I’d love to work with you.
Through Community Dietitian Co, my goal is to build a service that continues to grow with the needs of the community by helping to reach more people who deserve down-to-earth, evidence-based nutrition support. I hope to expand this vision by developing a team of compassionate, like-minded professionals who are just as committed to making nutrition care accessible, realistic, and life-changing.
“This isn’t about food rules, it’s about better quality of life.”
